Did we think 2020 was the year for perfect vision? Did we think we would be living with the reality of a global pandemic of historic proportions? Did we think everything about our everyday lives could change so quickly? Did we think we could keep ourselves and our families free of infectious diseases in the same way we always have?

Are you feeling a little lost? Maybe you lost your job, your social life, your freedom to travel. Maybe you’ve lost your plans for the future. Maybe you have lost your own health due to this respiratory virus. Or worse still, you lost a loved one to Covid-19? So how are you coping right now, physically, emotionally, mentally?

This teleseminar will explore these questions, and the reality we are faced with, as we assess our personal healthcare practices. Also, by understanding the cycle of bereavement, we can appreciate our own responses to this challenging time, with creativity and compassion.

Mary Kathleen Rose is a licensed massage therapist with a B.A. in Integrative Healing (Minor in Art) from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Internationally known as a pioneer in the field of touch therapies for the elderly and the chronically ill, she is the developer of Comfort Touch®, a nurturing style of acupressure. It is widely practiced in hospices, homecare, and other medical settings. She believes that the nurturing, comforting power of touch really begins in the home, and she loves to share powerful, yet simple techniques to be used within the family.

A wellness educator and lifelong herbalist, she holds a certification from Susun S. Weed in the "Spirit & Practice of the Wise Woman Tradition." She is the author of several books and numerous published articles, including Comfort Touch® of the Hands & Feet: A Guide for Family Caregivers, and The Children's Tarot: The Road is a River.

She is also passionate about creating music in community drum circles, and improvisational music jams, with people of all ages and abilities.
